“Be strong, and let your heart take courage.”
~ David ~
Holley Gerth is talking about God-sized dreams today, part of a series “about embracing and pursuing the desires God has placed within your heart that perfectly fit who you are.” Funny the timing, but then again not, since my Abba Father is completely in control and knows exactly what He’s doing.
See, I began pursuing my God-sized dream about a week ago. And I’m scared to death.
My heart’s desire is to put words and photography together into art that might speak into the life of other becoming women who struggle against not good enough. In one week I’ve ridden an emotional roller coaster, careening from excitement and anticipation to anxiety and humiliation and back up again. Not good enough has tried to have its way with me feeding thoughts like “I’m just another among so many who are doing it way better than I ever could and who am I to think I have something to say any different from those who are already speaking and am I just being foolish and are you really sure God has anything to do with this?”
Then God speaks, interrupting my run-on thoughts with ”be still“ and “hold fast“ and calms my anxious thoughts and I take courage and keep on.
“Take courage,” He says, to all of us daring to pursue the dream He’s given.
Take courage.
Grace,
Brenda
